Tim Campbell was born on 27 June 1977 in Canning Town, East London. He grew up in a working-class area and attended St Bonaventure’s Catholic School, where he later became a school governor.
Before television fame, he worked at London Underground as a senior planner in strategy and development. His breakthrough came in 2005 when he won the first series of The Apprentice on BBC Two, securing a £100,000 role with Amstrad.
After his win, Campbell became Project Director of Amstrad’s health and beauty division before leaving to pursue his own ventures. He later founded Bright Ideas Trust, a social enterprise helping young people start businesses.
In 2022, he returned to The Apprentice as an aide to Alan Sugar on BBC One, replacing Claude Littner and becoming a permanent advisor from 2024 onward.
