Steven Bartlett was born on 26 August 1992 to a Nigerian mother and British father. He later moved to the UK and grew up in Plymouth, where he experienced financial struggles during his early life.
He briefly attended university but dropped out to pursue business. In 2014, he co-founded Social Chain, a social media marketing company that grew rapidly and later went public, establishing him as a young entrepreneur.
Bartlett expanded his career into media, launching The Diary of a CEO podcast in 2017, which became one of the most popular business podcasts globally. He also founded companies such as Flight Group and Thirdweb.
In 2021, he joined Dragons’ Den (BBC One), becoming the youngest-ever investor on the show. He has since invested in multiple startups and built a reputation as a modern, digital-focused entrepreneur.
He continues to live in the UK, balancing business ventures, media work, and investments while maintaining a relatively private personal life.
