Sophie Gravia was born July 1991 in Scotland and grew up in a town just outside Glasgow. She developed a love of storytelling at a young age, often writing poems and humorous stories for friends and family.
After finishing school, she pursued a performing arts diploma, where she further developed her writing skills. She later chose a practical career and trained as a renal nurse, working for the NHS in Glasgow for around a decade while raising her children.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Gravia began writing again as a creative outlet. She expanded a popular blog about dating experiences titled “Sex in the Glasgow City” into her first novel, A Glasgow Kiss. The book quickly reached No.1 on Amazon’s charts after being self-published.
The success of the novel led to several follow-up books including What Happens in Dubai, Meet Me in Milan, and Hot Girl Summer. She also co-hosts the BBC podcast Situationships with Sophie and Christine, which discusses dating and relationships.
Today, Gravia works as a full-time writer and media personality, with her debut novel being developed for television.
