Seth Adam Meyers is an American comedian, television host, writer, and producer. Born on December 28, 1973, in Evanston, Illinois, he attended Northwestern University, where he majored in film and television production and performed with the improv group Mee-Ow. 

After college, he moved to Amsterdam to perform with the improv troupe Boom Chicago, where SNL talent scouts noticed him. Meyers joined the cast of SNL in 2001, gradually ascending through the ranks to become the show’s sole head writer and the anchor of the “Weekend Update” desk. In 2014, he took over as host of Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC, where his blend of news satire, comedy segments such as “A Closer Look,” and engaging celebrity interviews has become a late-night staple. 

Beyond his TV career,  Meyers is a successful author of children’s books and an active stand-up comedian. He lives in New York City with his wife, Alexi Ashe, and their three children.
