Sarah Kustok was born in Orland Park, Illinois, and developed a passion for basketball while growing up in Chicago. She attended Carl Sandburg High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Communications from DePaul University. A standout basketball player at DePaul, she helped lead the Blue Demons to two NCAA Tournament appearances and remains one of the school’s standout players.

After college, Kustok began her broadcasting career in Chicago, covering high school and professional sports for local television stations. She then joined Comcast SportsNet Chicago before moving to the YES Network as the Brooklyn Nets’ sideline reporter, where her basketball knowledge and engaging presentation earned widespread praise. In 2017, she made history as the first woman to serve as a full-time television analyst for an NBA team’s broadcasts.

Today, Sarah Kustok is the lead television analyst for the Brooklyn Nets on YES  Network while also serving as a studio host and analyst for CBS Sports. She contributes to the network’s coverage of college basketball, the WNBA, and other major events, while making regular appearances on NBA TV. Known for her detailed analysis, professionalism, and deep understanding of basketball, she has become one of the most respected voices in sports broadcasting today.
