Sara Davies was born on 23 April 1984 in Coundon, County Durham, England. Her parents, including her father Frank, ran small businesses, which influenced her entrepreneurial mindset from a young age.

She studied Business at the University of York, where she founded Crafter’s Companion while still a student. The company quickly grew into an international crafting business, generating strong early sales and establishing her as a young entrepreneur.

In 2019, she joined Dragons’ Den (BBC Two, later BBC One) as its youngest female investor. She remained on the show until 2025, investing in numerous businesses and becoming known for her supportive mentoring style.
