Roo Irvine (Arusha Irvine) was born on 22 January 1980 in Kilcreggan, Scotland. Details about her parents are largely private, though her father’s death in 2013 significantly influenced her career path.

Before television, she worked in corporate marketing and sales. Following the deaths of her father and father-in-law in 2013, she and her husband left their corporate careers to care for family and launched an antiques business, Kilcreggan Antiques.

She was discovered in 2015 when BBC producers visited her shop during Antiques Road Trip, leading to her becoming an antiques expert on the show.

Irvine later appeared on programmes including Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and Flipping Profit, before becoming a presenter on Bargain Hunt (BBC One) in 2022.

She lives in Argyll & Bute, Scotland, with her husband and their cats, maintaining a balance between television work and her antiques business.
