Rochelle Humes was born Rochelle Eulah Eileen Wiseman on 21 March 1989 in Barking, London, to a Jamaican father and an English mother. Her parents divorced when she was three, and she was raised primarily by her mother, Roz, alongside her half-sister Emily, with support from her uncle, former footballer Paul Ince. She attended Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls in Hornchurch, Havering, as well as Colin’s Performing Arts School.
She entered the entertainment industry at 12 after auditioning for reality series S Club Search in 2001, joining spin-off group S Club Juniors (later S Club 8). Following the band’s split, she presented BBC children’s show Smile from 2005–2006, before joining pop group The Saturdays in 2007, who scored a UK number-one single with “What About Us” in 2013.
Rochelle transitioned into television presenting, becoming a team captain on Sweat the Small Stuff, a regular stand-in on This Morning, and co-host of Ninja Warrior UK (2015–2022) and The Xtra Factor. Since 2019, she has co-hosted BBC One music quiz show The Hit List alongside husband Marvin Humes.
Rochelle and Marvin live together with their three children — daughters Alaia and Valentina, and son Blake — and regularly work together professionally.
