Piers Linney was born on 15 February 1971 in England. He studied accounting and law at the University of Manchester, later qualifying as a solicitor before moving into investment banking with firms such as Credit Suisse.
In the 2000s, Linney shifted into entrepreneurship, founding and investing in technology and communications companies. He became co-CEO of Outsourcery, a cloud computing business, and built a strong reputation in venture capital and tech innovation.
He joined Dragons’ Den (BBC Two) in 2013, appearing for two series until 2015, where he invested in several startups, including the successful company Wonderbly.
He continues to work in technology, AI, and business mentoring, supporting startups and SMEs while maintaining a private family life in the UK.
