Peter Jones was born on 18 March 1966 in Berkshire, England. His parents both worked full-time, and he developed an early interest in business, often imagining himself making deals as a child.
He began his entrepreneurial journey at 17, starting a tennis coaching business before launching a computer company. Despite early success, he faced major setbacks in his twenties, losing businesses and falling into debt.
Jones later founded Phones International Group in 1998, which became highly successful and helped establish his wealth. He expanded into multiple industries including media, retail, and property, building a vast business portfolio.
In 2005, he became an original investor on Dragons’ Den (BBC Two, later BBC One), where entrepreneurs pitch ideas for investment. He remains the only Dragon to appear in every series.
He lives in the UK with his partner and children, balancing family life with business ventures and television appearances.
