Otis Holmes is a broadcast journalist and presenter currently working for BBC Newsround, the CBBC children’s news programme shown daily on CBBC and BBC iPlayer.

He is originally from Kingston upon Hull, and studied at Leeds Trinity University before beginning his broadcast journalism career in the ITV regional news system.

Before Newsround, Holmes worked across several ITV regional newsrooms, including as a Calendar newsreader for ITV Yorkshire (Leeds), as a reporter for Central Tonight (ITV Central), and as a presenter for ITV Channel Television, covering the Channel Islands. He also appeared as a stand-in on Good Morning Britain. He is a Fellow of the John Schofield Trust, a scheme supporting early and mid-career journalists.

He moved to BBC Newsround, initially presenting bulletins after stepping in from the programme’s reporting team, and continues to work as a journalist and presenter for the show.
