Michael McWhorter was born in Richmond, Virginia, and studied film and television at Palm Beach Community College. He entered the film industry in the early 2000s, founding his own production company, Tizzy Entertainment. His short film Intersection won the student category at the 2003 Palm Beach International Film Festival. He began directing music videos under the name Tizzy in 2004.

McWhorter spent years editing and directing music videos and commercials, including an eight-year run at Rhino Studios in Miami. He built a large following on TikTok under the handle TizzyEnt, posting commentary on pop culture and everyday life. Around 2021, his videos began targeting people caught mistreating others on camera, starting with a fake vaccine card seller. That pivot turned TizzyEnt into a crowdsourced online justice project with millions of followers.

In 2026, McWhorter’s online work expanded into television with Discovery Channel’s How to Catch a Dirtbag. The series premiered on August 5, 2026, and centers on his investigations into viral videos of public misconduct. He hosts each episode from his home in Florida, guiding interviews with victims, witnesses, law enforcement, and sometimes the accused. As of 2026, McWhorter continues to run his TizzyEnt platform alongside his new hosting role.
