Lizzie Daly

Profile Overview

Lizzie Daly grew up in Wales, where the Cardiff coastline sparked a lifelong fascination with nature; she has said her family were always outdoorsy, introducing her to the natural world early through exploring the Welsh coastline and family camping trips.

Based in Cardiff, she decided at a young age that she wanted to become an elephant scientist, a passion that shaped her academic and broadcasting career. She built her television career as a wildlife biologist and presenter, starting out on CBeebies, CBBC and National Geographic before becoming a regular face of BBC Earth Unplugged.

She has since presented across BBC One, BBC Two, recent hosting credits include Deep Dive North America for Love Nature (2025), a follow-up to Deep Dive Australia (Sky TV, 2024), and Jaguar Journals (Love Nature & Sky TV, 2024), alongside co-hosting Aneeshwar and Lizzie Go Wild on CBeebies.

She is currently hosting World’s Ultimate Adventures on BBC News and also working on a forthcoming elephant series filmed in Sri Lanka, expected in 2026.
