Laura Hunter is a digital football journalist based in St Albans, England, working for Sky Sports on Women’s Super League and Premier League coverage.

She studied at the University of Birmingham before moving into sports journalism. Hunter writes a regular WSL column for skysports.com — currently titled The Counter Press.

The Counter Press breaks down tactical talking points from across the league, covering clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Beyond her WSL column, Hunter has reported on England Women (the Lionesses) at several major tournaments, including UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, and regularly conducts player and coach interviews.
