Kimberly Williams-Paisley is an American actress, author, and television host who has built a career across film, television, and media projects. She was born in Rye, New York, and developed an interest in acting at an early age. Williams-Paisley attended Northwestern University, where she studied drama. However,  she left during her sophomore year to pursue acting opportunities. 

She gained national recognition with her film debut in Father of the Bride, starring alongside Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. The success of the film and its sequel, Father of the Bride Part II, helped establish her career in Hollywood. She later appeared in several television series and films, including the ABC sitcom According to Jim

In addition to acting, Williams-Paisley has taken on television hosting roles. In 2025, she took over as the host of Fox’s reality dating series, Farmer Wants a Wife. She has continued with her acting career, and currently stars in Ryan Murphy’s 9-1-1: Nashville on ABC, playing 911 dispatcher Cammie Raleigh.
