Kevin Frazier was born on May 20, 1964, and was raised in Columbia, Maryland, where he attended Hammond High School. He studied communications at Morgan State University, graduating in 1989, while also serving as an assistant basketball coach there. After graduation, he landed his first broadcasting job as a news and sports reporter at WCBD-TV in Charleston, South Carolina.

Frazier moved to Baltimore’s WBFF-TV in 1991, then to Cincinnati’s WXIX-TV, where he anchored sports and called Bearcats basketball through 1995. He joined Fox Sports News at its 1995 launch and spent seven years covering the NBA, NFL, and NCAA Tournament. In 2002, he moved to ESPN to host SportsCenter and NBA programming. He joined Entertainment Tonight as a correspondent in 2004 and later co-hosted The Insider from 2011 to 2014.

Frazier returned to Entertainment Tonight as lead co-host in 2014 and has shared anchor duties with Nischelle Turner since 2021. He has also co-hosted the Daytime Emmy Awards since 2022 and hosts Game Changers, spotlighting athletes’ community work. In addition to his television work, he founded HipHollywood.com in 2008, an urban entertainment site he continues to run today.
