Ken Jeong is an American actor, comedian, and television host who originally trained as a medical doctor before transitioning into entertainment. He was born on July 13, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan, to Korean immigrant parents. Jeong studied at Duke University and later earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. While completing his medical residency in New Orleans, he began performing stand-up comedy, which eventually led him to pursue entertainment full-time.
Jeong’s film breakthrough came in 2007 when Judd Apatow cast him in Knocked Up. He then gained widespread recognition for his role as Leslie Chow in The Hangover film series. He later starred in the NBC sitcom Community, further establishing himself as a popular comedic actor.
In recent years, Jeong has expanded into television hosting and reality entertainment. He hosts the music mystery competition show I Can See Your Voice on Fox and is a longtime panelist on The Masked Singer. Alongside television work, he continues acting in films and stand-up comedy specials.
