Jen Beattie is a highly celebrated Scottish football analyst and retired professional soccer player. She was born on May 13, 1991, in Glasgow, Scotland, into a distinguished sporting family; both her father and brother played international rugby for Scotland. Jen attended Jordanhill School in Glasgow, where she was a standout soccer player. She later began her senior club career at Queen’s Park at age 15 before joining Celtic and then Arsenal. 

Beattie’s club career took her across five countries, with spells at Arsenal, Montpellier, Manchester City, Melbourne City, and NWSL Bay FC. Internationally, she made 143 appearances for Scotland. During her career, she won 14 major trophies and helped Scotland to its first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019. 

Beattie announced her retirement on January 21, 2025, and quickly transitioned into broadcasting. She joined Bay FC as a content contributor and match day host in April 2025, and became a studio and match analyst for FOX Sports’ and BBC Sport’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 coverage. She currently serves as a soccer analyst for FOX Sports, CBS in the United States, as well as TNT Sports and BBC in the United Kingdom.
