Jeff Mauro is an American chef, television host, and restaurateur who has become a recognizable face on Food Network. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, he initially pursued a career in comedy before shifting his focus to food. His passion for cooking, especially sandwiches, eventually led him to audition for Food Network Star, where his personality and culinary perspective stood out.
He gained national attention after winning Food Network Star Season 7, which launched his television career. Following this, Mauro hosted Sandwich King, a series dedicated to creative and elevated sandwich recipes that reflected his signature style. His approachable personality and humor made the show a hit, earning him a Daytime Emmy Award nomination.
In 2014, Mauro joined The Kitchen as a co-host, where his witty humor and Italian American home cooking sensibilities made him a fan favorite. He has also hosted Kitchen Crash (Food Network, 2021) and co-hosted Worst Cooks in America (Seasons 24 and 26). In 2020, Mauro founded Mauro Provisions, a direct-to-consumer brand built around premium Chicago-style giardiniera, sauces, and sandwich kits. He has also published a cookbook, Come On Over: 111 Fantastic Recipes for the Family That Cooks, Eats, and Laughs Together.
