Jason Garrett is an American football analyst and former NFL player and coach. He currently serves as a studio analyst on Football Night in America, NBC’s pregame show for Sunday Night Football. Garrett previously spent over a decade coaching the Dallas Cowboys, including nine seasons as head coach, and earlier played quarterback in the NFL.

After retiring as a player, Garrett transitioned into coaching. He joined the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff in 2007 and became the team’s head coach in 2010, leading the franchise through the 2019 season. During his tenure, he guided the Cowboys to multiple playoff appearances and was named NFL Coach of the Year in 2016.

Following his coaching career, Garrett moved into broadcasting.
