Jack Whitehall was born on July 7, 1988, in Putney, London. He attended Tower House School, Dragon School, and Marlborough College before briefly studying History of Art at the University of Manchester. He began performing stand-up comedy as a teenager and moved into television, presenting Big Brother’s Big Mouth in 2008. 

Whitehall developed a broader television career through comedy, acting, and presenting. He co-hosted The TNT Show with Holly Walsh and later presented Backchat on the BBC with his father, Michael Whitehall, from 2013 to 2015. His travel series Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father ran for five series and established him as a recognizable Netflix personality.

Whitehall has hosted the BRIT Awards six times since 2018, most recently returning in both 2025 and 2026. He also stars in Peacock’s American sitcom The ‘Burbs alongside Keke Palmer, which was renewed for a second season. In 2026, he began hosting  FOX’s celebrity competition series Nation’s Dumbest, his first American hosting role. His career continues to combine comedy, acting, presenting, writing, and television production.
