Inci Mehmet was born on 2 October 1996 in Richmond, England, to a Turkish father and a South Korean mother, growing up in a multicultural household.
She took up golf at age four, earned a scholarship to Wentworth Club in Surrey, and became the club’s youngest-ever ladies champion at 15. She represented England through the Elite England Golf girls’ and women’s squads.
Inci turned professional in 2016 after finishing 12th (and top British player) at Ladies European Tour Qualifying School, going on to play the LET for around five years before a career-ending injury pushed her toward broadcasting.
In June 2019, she joined Sky Sports as a pundit for PGA and LPGA Tour coverage, and has since expanded into presenting, commentary and analysis across Sky Sports Golf, European Tour Productions and IMG Productions. Alongside broadcasting, she’s a co-founder of GIMME, a golf marketplace, and an ambassador for Callaway Golf and Adidas Golf.
