Hallie Jackson is an American television journalist and anchor at NBC News. She was born on April 29, 1984, in Yardley, Pennsylvania, United States. She attended Pennsbury High School before enrolling at Johns Hopkins University, where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
Shortly after graduation, she began working as a reporter at several local television stations, before joining Hearst Television in Washington, D.C. in 2012 as a national correspondent for 26 stations. She later joined NBC News in 2014 as a national correspondent, where she quickly rose through the ranks and became the network’s chief White House correspondent. Her reporting also frequently appeared on major NBC programs, including Today, NBC Nightly News, and Meet the Press.
In 2021, Jackson became the anchor of Hallie Jackson NOW, a daily news program on NBC News NOW. Then, in 2024, she became the anchor for the NBC Nightly News Sunday edition, taking over the role from Kate Snow. In addition to anchoring, she also continues with her role as a correspondent, covering national politics and major government developments for NBC.
