Guy Fieri is an American chef, restaurateur, author, and television personality best known for his work on food television. Born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Northern California, he studied abroad in Chantilly, France, in high school, where he developed a deep love for food and cuisine. He later studied hospitality management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, before entering the restaurant industry.
Fieri rose to national prominence in 2006 after winning the second season of The Next Food Network Star on Food Network. The victory launched his television career and led to his first major show, Guy’s Big Bite. Soon after, he began hosting the travel and food series Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, which became one of the network’s most successful programs.
Over the years, Fieri has built a large television and restaurant empire. He hosts several Food Network shows, including Guy’s Grocery Games, Tournament of Champions, and Flavortown Food Fight. In addition to television, he owns and licenses numerous restaurant brands and has authored several bestselling cookbooks.
