Gabby Logan was born on 24 April 1973 in Leeds, England, to Welsh footballer and manager Terry Yorath and wife Christine Yorath. She was a talented athlete in her youth and represented Wales in rhythmic gymnastics at the 1990 Commonwealth Games before leaving the sport due to injury.
While studying law at Durham University, Logan began working in broadcasting part-time at Metro Radio and Tyne Tees Television. In 1996 she joined Sky Sports as a presenter, launching her professional career in sports broadcasting.
She later moved to ITV in 1998, presenting football coverage including Champions League programming. In 2007 Logan joined BBC Sport, where she became a prominent face of the broadcaster’s sports coverage. Logan also hosted the BBC programme Final Score (2009–2013). In 2025 she was announced as one of the presenters of Match of the Day on BBC One.
She lives in southwest London with her husband, Kenny Logan and their two children and balances her broadcasting career with podcasting, writing, and charity work.
