Erin Andrews was born on May 4, 1978, in Lewiston, Maine, and grew up in Valrico, Florida. A self-described tomboy who grew up watching sports with her father, Andrews attended Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, where she was on the dance team and in the National Honor Society. She later studied telecommunications at the University of Florida, where she was also a member of the Florida Gators Dazzlers dance team.
Andrews began her career in 2000 as a freelance reporter for Fox Sports. She joined ESPN in 2004 as a hockey night reporter, quickly expanding to college football, college basketball, MLB, and major championship events. In 2012, she left ESPN for Fox Sports, where she became the first host of Fox College Football’s studio show and then the lead sideline reporter for Fox’s NFL broadcasts.
She has since covered multiple Super Bowls, NFC Championship games, and the World Series. She also co-hosted Dancing with the Stars alongside Tom Bergeron for Seasons 18 through 28 on ABC, and hosted the CMT Music Awards in 2015 and 2016. In 2025, she renewed her Fox contract, which includes co-hosting the new Fox game show 99 to Beat with Ken Jeong.
