Dharmesh Sheth was born in Tanzania on 5 October (birth year not publicly confirmed) and moved to England at the age of two and a half, growing up and continuing to live in North West London.

He began his career freelancing in print journalism, contributing over 50 articles in a single year to publications including the Wall Street Journal and Match of the Day magazine.

He joined Sky Sports News as a sub-editor when the channel launched in 1998, staying behind after shifts to practise recording reports, and was promoted to reporter in 2001.

Sheth has since become a senior reporter and presenter across Sky Sports News, Sky Sports, and Sky News, with nearly three decades in sports journalism and coverage spanning Champions League and FA Cup finals, Ryder Cups, The Open, The Masters, and the Ashes. He is best known for breaking major football transfer stories and hosts the Transfer Talk Podcast.
