David Gregory

David Gregory is a prominent American television journalist and political analyst. Born on August 24, 1970, in Los Angeles, California, United States, he began his broadcast career at 18 and rose to become one of the most recognizable faces in political journalism. He spent nearly 20 years at NBC News, where he earned a reputation as a tenacious questioner. As Chief White House Correspondent, he covered the September 11 attacks, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and two presidential campaigns. 

In 2008, Gregory succeeded Tim Russert as the moderator of Meet the Press, a role he held for six years. During his tenure, he conducted high-profile interviews with world leaders and key political figures, including a landmark 2012 interview with then-Vice President Joe Biden regarding same-sex marriage. After leaving NBC in 2014, he joined CNN in 2016 as a political analyst.

Beyond the anchor desk, Gregory is an advocate for educational non-profits and serves on the board of Martha’s Table. In 2015, he published How’s Your Faith?, a deeply personal exploration of his Jewish heritage and spiritual journey. He is married to Beth Wilkinson, a former federal prosecutor, with whom they have three children.
