Curt Menefee was born on July 22, 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. While in college, he interned at CNN and worked as a reporter for KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids. After graduating, he worked at various local stations in Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia, Florida, and Texas before joining Fox 5 in New York in 1995. 

Menefee joined Fox Sports in 1997 as a sideline reporter before moving into play-by-play duties for NFL games. In 2007, he replaced James Brown as the full-time host of Fox NFL Sunday. He has also hosted FOX’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League Final, UFC events, the U.S. Open Golf Championship, and the Belmont Stakes. 

Today, Menefee remains the host of Fox NFL Sunday while calling UFL games alongside Joel Klatt. During his tenure, Fox NFL Sunday has been the number-one-rated NFL pregame show for 32 consecutive seasons and was inducted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2019. He also hosts The OT, Fox’s post-game wrap show, and served as the lead play-by-play announcer for the USFL in 2022. He also previously hosted Good Day New York on Fox 5 before leaving the program to focus on his Fox Sports commitments.
