Clive Myrie

Clive Myrie was born on 25 August 1964, in Bolton, England, to Jamaican parents. Myrie developed an early interest in journalism and international affairs. He joined the BBC graduate journalism programme in 1987, beginning a long career with the broadcaster.

During his reporting career he served as a BBC foreign correspondent, covering major international events and conflicts from locations including the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the United States. His work has included coverage of wars, political crises, and natural disasters.

Myrie later became a regular presenter on BBC News at One, BBC News at Six, and BBC News at Ten, as well as the BBC News Channel. His reporting from Kyiv during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine brought international recognition.

He is married to Catherine Myrie, an upholsterer and furniture restorer. The couple has no children to which Clive opines has allowed them to travel the world. He is currently working both a news presenter and television host.
