Christine McGuinness was born 20 March 1988 in Blackpool, Lancashire, England. She had a difficult childhood; her father struggled with heroin addiction and she has spoken publicly about experiencing abuse during her early years.

As a teenager, McGuinness entered beauty competitions and in 2007 won titles including Miss Liverpool and Miss Commonwealth, which helped launch her modelling career. She later worked with fashion and swimwear brands before transitioning into television appearances.

Her wider fame came when she joined the ITVBe reality series The Real Housewives of Cheshire from 2018 to 2020, where she became a regular cast member. She has also appeared on programmes such as Strictly The Real Full Monty, The Games, and various daytime talk shows.

In 2021, she appeared in the BBC documentary Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism, which explored her family’s experiences after she and her three children were diagnosed with autism. The documentary helped raise awareness about neurodiversity in families.

Today, McGuinness continues working in media (co-hosting a relationship podcast with Sophie Gravia), writing, and advocacy while focusing on parenting and raising awareness of autism.
