Chris Myers was born in Miami, Florida, and developed an interest in broadcasting while still in high school. At just 16 years old, he hosted his own sports radio show on WKAT, interviewing legends including Muhammad Ali and Don Shula. He later attended Miami Dade Community College and Florida International University, studying radio and television before beginning his professional broadcasting career.

After working at television stations in Miami and New Orleans, Myers joined ESPN in 1987. During his 11 years there, he anchored SportsCenter, hosted Up Close, and covered major national events, including the 1989 World Series earthquake and the 1996 Atlanta Olympic bombing. In 1998, he joined FOX Sports, where he became one of the network’s most versatile on-air personalities.

Today, Myers calls NFL games as a play-by-play announcer while hosting FOX Sports’ NASCAR coverage from the track each weekend. He also hosts MLB pregame and postgame studio coverage, calls Premier Boxing Champions events, and contributes to Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show broadcasts. In 2025, he hosted FOX Sports’ inaugural Indianapolis 500 coverage and surpassed 400 televised NFL games during the season.
