Briony May Williams was born on 30 October 1984 in Bristol, England. She grew up with a congenital limb difference affecting her left hand, an experience she has openly discussed while supporting disability awareness.

She studied Spanish and French at Durham University and later completed a postgraduate teaching qualification at the University of Bristol, initially working as a secondary school teacher before pursuing baking professionally.

Williams rose to national prominence in 2018 as a semi-finalist on The Great British Bake Off, where her warm personality and baking skills made her a fan favourite.

Following her success, she moved into television presenting, working on Food Unwrapped (Channel 4) and joining Escape to the Country on BBC One in 2022, helping buyers find rural homes across the UK.

She lives in Bristol with her husband and daughter, balancing media work with writing and charity involvement.
