Bee was born and raised in the Malvern Hills by her graphic design expert parents, who ran their own agency from the family home. Sharing an insight into her upbringing, Bee wrote on the Bonhams website: “My parents ran a graphic design agency from the ground floor of our family home, so art and design was a huge part of my life and upbringing.” Her date of birth has not been publicly disclosed, though one source describes her as a mid-career professional in her 30s.
After studying Art History at Nottingham University, Bee was awarded a scholarship by Sotheby’s Institute in London, where she took a Master’s Degree in Fine & Decorative Art. “From the very first auction we attended in class, I was hooked,” she penned. “I was — and still am — completely sold on the drama and excitement of it all.”
She went on to work for several London auction houses and art advisors before joining Bonhams in 2021. Before that, she held key roles at Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers, working as Head of Paintings, Art Specialist, and Valuer. Bee has over 12 years of experience in the industry and has worked her way up from general valuer to head auctioneer.
She joined The Travelling Auctioneers for Series 3 in January 2025. In late 2025, she also became a regular fixture on BBC’s Antiques Road Trip, appearing alongside presenters such as Natasha Raskin Sharp, Izzie Balmer, and Margie Cooper. While her Instagram is kept regularly updated, she keeps it very professional and her home life very private.
