Bradley Walsh was born on 4 June 1960 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. He is the son of Daniel Terence Walsh and Margaret Walsh. He grew up in Hertfordshire and initially pursued a career in sport.
Before entering entertainment, Walsh was a professional footballer, playing for Brentford FC and other clubs, though his sporting career was cut short by injury.
He transitioned into entertainment as a comedian and actor, gaining recognition in television dramas and later becoming a presenter. His breakthrough as a host came with quiz and game shows.
Walsh is widely known for hosting The Chase on ITV and co-presenting Gladiators (2024– ) on BBC One alongside his son, Barney Walsh.
He lives in Essex with his family and remains one of the UK’s most popular television personalities.
