Barney Walsh was born on 2 December 1997 in Westminster, London, England. He is the son of Bradley Walsh and choreographer Donna Derby.
He grew up in a television and entertainment environment, often visiting sets where his father worked, which influenced his career path.
Walsh was educated at Chigwell School in Essex before training in acting at East 15 Acting School and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
He began his career as an actor, appearing in series such as Law & Order: UK, Doctors, and later Casualty. He also appeared in the film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
He gained wider recognition co-presenting Gladiators (2024– ) on BBC One alongside his father, as well as appearing in Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad.
He continues to balance acting and presenting, with a growing profile in British television.
