Anna Haugh was born in 1980 in Dublin, Ireland. She grew up in a large Irish family, and her parents influenced her early passion for cooking, particularly traditional home-style food.
She trained professionally at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), where she studied culinary arts. After graduating, she worked in several prestigious kitchens in Ireland and France before moving to London.
In London, she built her career working at top restaurants, including The Square and Gordon Ramsay’s establishments, gaining experience in fine dining and modern European cuisine.
Haugh later founded Myrtle Restaurant in Chelsea, London, focusing on contemporary Irish cooking and seasonal ingredients, which earned strong critical acclaim.
She gained wider public recognition through television, appearing on MasterChef: The Professionals on BBC One as a guest judge and presenter, alongside other BBC food programmes.
She lives in London and continues to run her restaurant while appearing regularly on television.
