Andy Cohen is an Emmy-winning American talk show host, producer, and author celebrated for his high-energy personality and massive influence on pop culture. Born in 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri, Andy Cohen began his media career as an intern at CBS News. He spent a decade at the network, rising to senior producer for programs like The Early Show and 48 Hours.
In 2004, Cohen joined Bravo, where he helped develop many of the network’s most successful reality programs. He became executive vice president of development and talent at Bravo and played a key role in expanding the Real Housewives franchise. In 2009, Cohen launched Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, which became Bravo’s flagship late-night talk show featuring celebrity interviews and pop-culture discussions.
As a trailblazer in the industry, Cohen was one of the first openly gay late-night hosts on a major network. He is a dedicated single father to his two children, Benjamin and Lucy, both born via surrogate. Outside of television, he is known for his active involvement in LGBTQ+ advocacy and Jewish community initiatives.
