Andy Clarke built his career in sports broadcasting starting in football journalism, working across outlets including talkSPORT and Channel 5, where he covered the Premier League, Champions League, and major international tournaments including the World Cup and Euros as a reporter.

Sources vary slightly on the exact chronology of his early career moves, but he spent roughly a decade establishing himself before moving into boxing commentary around 2012.

He joined the Sky Sports Boxing team in 2016 and has since become their lead commentator, calling major fights involving stars such as Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, including the Fury vs. Wilder trilogy. His voice is also familiar to boxing fans through work with BBC, Channel 5, BT Sport, DAZN, and ESPN+ in the US.

Beyond commentary, Andy co-hosts the boxing podcast Macklin’s Take with fellow Sky pundit Matt Macklin, launched in 2019, and has written two books on boxing and sport, including The Knockout, featuring interviews with fighters like David Haye and Amir Khan.
