Adriana Diaz is an Emmy-winning American television journalist known for her compelling and wide-ranging reporting. Born November 29, 1984, in New York City to Dominican immigrant parents, Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University in 2006. She later subsequently earned dual master’s degrees in Public Affairs and Public Administration through a joint program at Columbia University and France’s Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. 

Diaz competed in pageants from the age of 17 and even won the Miss New York USA 2006. Additionally, before pursuing her master’s degree, she worked as a financial analyst in equity sales and trading at Goldman Sachs. She later transitioned to journalism, reporting first for Channel One News and later hosting Yahoo’s Trending Now web show. 

She joined CBS News in 2012 as a digital journalist, before rising through the ranks as a CBS Newspath correspondent, then as the network’s Asia correspondent, and later as a national correspondent. She became the anchor of the Saturday edition of CBS Weekend News in 2020, co-hosted CBS Mornings Plus from September to October 2025, and debuted as co-host of CBS Saturday Morning on January 10, 2026.
