Adam Henson was born on 8 January 1966 in Gloucestershire, England and grew up on his family’s farm in the Cotswolds. He is the son of farmer and TV presenter Joe Henson, who founded the Cotswold Farm Park.

He was educated at Cheltenham College and later studied agriculture, earning a Higher National Diploma from Seale-Hayne Agricultural College in Devon. He also gained hands-on experience working at the Chatsworth Estate and abroad in Australia and New Zealand.

Henson took over the family farm in the late 1990s and co-runs the estate and Cotswold Farm Park, focusing on rare breed conservation and sustainable farming.

He joined Countryfile on BBC One in 2001 after a presenter search and became a regular face on the programme, showcasing farming and rural life.

He lives in the Cotswolds with his family, continuing to farm, write books, and present television programmes.
