Aaron Heslehurst was born on 28 May 1967 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He grew up as the youngest of three siblings, with two older sisters, Jane and Sarah. Details about his parents are not publicly documented.
Aaron attended Colo High School, NSW, Australia from 1980 to 1985, where he served as School Captain. He went on to graduate first in his class from Menlo College, California, with an honours degree in Broadcast Journalism and Media Studies in 1996.
He began his career as a reporter for Prime Television/Seven Network in Sydney and Canberra from 1996 to 1998, before working as European Bureau Chief for Paramount Pictures and Real TV News in London from 1998 to 2000, then as senior news anchor at CNBC Nordic in Copenhagen from 2000 to 2002. In May 2017 he launched Talking Business with Aaron Heslehurst, a daily half-hour global programme on BBC World News.
Aaron is married to Rachel Heslehurst, a legal strategist specialising in regulatory and corporate legal advisory across the UK and Europe. They met on the London Underground in April 2003 and married that same year. There is no public confirmation they have children.
