Quick facts about the channel
NFL Network is a U.S. television channel dedicated entirely to coverage of professional American football. It launched on November 4, 2003, just eight months after the league’s 32 team owners voted unanimously to approve its formation. The channel was originally owned and operated by the National Football League. However, it was acquired by ESPN in 2026.
The channel offers a 24/7, year-round broadcast, which covers live matchups, documentaries, game replays, studio shows, and original programming. It airs live NFL games throughout the season, including select regular-season matchups and international series games. During the offseason, NFL Network covers key events like the NFL Scouting Combine, NFL Draft, and NFL Training Camp. It also hosts college showcases such as the Senior Bowl and HBCU Legacy Bowl.
The NFL Network offers several live shows, including NFL GameDay Morning, the network’s premier Sunday pregame program. Good Morning Football is another popular program, a weekday morning show that is hosted by Kyle Brandt, Jamie Erdahl, and Manti Te’o. Other live programs include The Insiders, anchored by Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero, Mike Garafolo, and Judy Battista, NFL GameDay Live, and NFL Fantasy Live.
Another key studio program is NFL Now, which delivers fast-paced updates, video highlights, and insider reports. But, besides live programming, the NFL Network offers a variety of on-demand content. This includes NFL films, documentaries, game replays, and original studio series.
