Lifetime is a cable television network known for emotional, character-driven programming aimed primarily at women. It launched in 1984 as Lifetime Medical Television and later expanded into broader lifestyle and entertainment content. The network is owned by A+E Networks, a joint venture between Disney Entertainment and Hearst.

The channel is especially recognized for its original made-for-television movies, many of which are based on true stories.  Lifetime movies often explore themes of relationships, family, survival, and personal transformation. Popular films on the network include Stolen Girl and Accused: The Karen Read Story.

Lifetime also features popular reality and unscripted series. Current programming features the long-running social experiment Married at First Sight and the 2025-26 return of the Chrisley family in The Chrisleys: Back to Reality. The network has also found success with docuseries and limited-event programming rooted in real-life stories.

Lifetime’s roster of talent features major stars like Kevin Frazier, the primary host of the Married at First Sight reunion specials, and Keshia Knight Pulliam, the host of the companion series Married at First Sight: Afterparty.
